Can't the reader just press the back button? In my PDF viewer, Evince, which is pretty simple in terms of features, I just press "Alt P" to go back. In Okular, it is Alt + Shift + Left (or click on Go > Back). Sorry if I didn't answer your question or if I misunderstood something. To answer your question directly, I do not know how to implement that using LyX/LaTeX. Also, why is the document so large? How many pages is it? Is it because you need to provide very high resolution graphics? Best, Scott
