I don't have problems with the pdf file located in /tmp. It is just
the button with the two eyes (Ctrl + R). It used to open the pdf
file in /tmp in okular (in my case). This does currently not work.
I assume this is related to changes to KDE (debian testing). Maybe
it'll be fixed within the next days.
And the viewer setting still lists okular as the viewer? I just
discovered that, for whatever reason, the viewer for pdflatex was set
to xreader (correct) and the viewer for all other PDF formats was set
to evince (which I don't use).
It was empty. Now I have chosen
okular --unique "$$o#src:$$n $$f"
from a drop down menu. It still doesn't work. I also don't understand
"$$o#src:$$n $$f"
Next to the "Viewer:" select box is a field for optional arguments. I'm
not sure why, but on my system that field is blank and cannot be edited
for three choices (None, xreader and evince) and editable if I select
"Custom". (I don't have okular installed.) I assume the --unique switch
and the mystery string appear in that field. Assuming so, is it editable
on your part? If yes, try deleting the contents and see if that helps.
