1. download the tarzipped file from JMarc
2. store the cv.cls in for example /usr/local/share/texmf/tex/latex/cv
3. run from command line texhash
4. store the cv.layout in ~/.lyx/layouts
5. run ~/.lyx/configure and look for a line
+checking for document class cv [cv]... yes
or run from within lyx edit->reconfigure
6. store the example-file cv.lyx anywhere
7. start lyx and the Curriculum Vitae is available
8. load the example-file
