I realized that I did not check "Use no TeX fonts". I think the T1
encoding messes everything up.
Checked it and now everything runs smooth, in LuaTeX and in XeTeX.
Kind regards,
Bernd

Onderwerp: LuaTeX has problems with certain unicode characters
Dear list,
I noticed that LuaTeX has problems with certain unicode characters in LyX 2.4.1.
So far, the list contains U+0361, U+034F, U+2E3A, U+2E3B.
"LaTeX Error: Unicode character [...} not set up for use with LaTeX."
As XeTeX is greyed out now, I cannot test if it has a problem as well.
Is it a bug?
Kind regards,
Bernd
...
When I compile a simple LyX-document with symbol U+0361 (Combining Double Inverted Breve) and the
default fonts (LM), the result are error messages "Missing glyphs" and "Missing
character: There is no ͡ (U+0361) in font [lmroman10-regular]:+tlig;!". But with a font such
as Calibri, which has an extensive set of Unicode glyphs, it compiles into a correct pdf.
So perhaps it is useful to check whether the font that is actually used,
contains the required symbols.
