This would also enable (I think) LyX to run on netbooks, since AFAIK they are Android machines --- and since they have real keyboards they would make a usable platform. I do believe TeX is available in some form. I also have no idea why porting to the iPad would be significantly harder than a Mac. I am, perhaps, too naive. -- David L.
