The ERT inset isn't really officially sanctioned yet.  I'm not sure why
-- something to do with the insettext handling but tabular uses that also.

Anyway, from the mini-buffer you can "ert-inset-insert" in 1.1.5 (I think)
or "ert-insert" in 1.1.6.
