All - I have been very happily using LyX 2.3 on two Macs running OSX 10.13.3. But this morning I got this message on one of them (the other is fine) when I tried to open a new file:
/Users/Hal/Library/Application Support/LyX-2.3/templates/defaults.lyx is from an older version of LyX and the lyx2lyx script failed to convert it. and then The specified document template .../Application Support/LyX-2.3/templates/defaults.lyx could not be read. Also, I tried to open an older LyX file and got: The specified document template .../Application Support/LyX-2.3/templates/defaults.lyx could not be read. I tried to reconfigure and got: The system reconfiguration has failed. Default textclass is used but LyX may not be able to work properly. Please reconfigure again if needed. What should I do?
