Note that you can now define as many fomats as you want in Preferences
and define how to translate between these format. This should
alleviate the need for custom export.

Looking at:

it seems that there are some GUIs out there. Pick one that suits you
and tell us how it should be used. Then the export mechanism is
probably enough to make it work.

I've not been known recently on the developpers mailing list as the
one who pushes most towards KDE integration (to say the least) :)
