The teTeX distrib comes with a doc tree qhich documents what's available
either simple or extended (depending upon the downloaded sources).
Most dvi docs are available with the minimum version, and an index page
allows to navigate the doc.

/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf/doc/index.html
