For those of us, who like LaTeX (or who do not have functional
jade :-), there is small "ASCII output HOW-TO":
1) export to LaTeX (File/Export/LaTeX)
2) create .dvi file (with all BibTeX, makeindex etc.)
3) create .html file via tth (for LaTeX2HTML you may skip
previous step)
4) check with your HTML browser, that everything is where it
should be (Table of contents, footnotes, BibTeX references,
index, etc.)
5) clean trash (*.aux, *.bb*, *.toc, *.out, *.dvi, etc.)
6) run this command
lynx -dump -nolist name-of-html-file.html > ASCII-file.txt
Concerning the improvements in presentation -- well, it's ASCII
file, there is not much to it. I think, that LaTeXHTML may be
better, as it tries really hard to keep presentation according
to LaTeX style (via all these *.perl files). On the other hand,
tth uses real *.aux etc. files, so that BibTeX references, index
entries, etc. should be the same as in your .dvi file. Try both.
Happy LyXing!
