Another item to the wishlist: it should be possible to use other than just
.eps files. For example, one would insert a *.fig file from Xfig, and Lyx
could call transparently transfig to convert it to eps. The same for pngs
etc...
I dislike that I have to keep both fig and eps files in the directory, and
to remember always "export as eps" when I have edited some fig file.
(Hmm. How easily you'll put new items to the wishlist at
http://www.devel.lyx.org/tasks.php3? It could have more "small things to
do", even with some plan how to actually do it. Then it would be easier
for a wanna-be-a-lyx-developer, like me, to do actually something and
learn the lyx code).
