Hi,

we are currently trying to install Lyx on our Digital Unix work-station. I had
an initial problem, then solved, plus a following one (see below). I was
suggested by [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Lars Gullik Bjxnne) to write to you for help.

Thanks for your attention.

Hi,

thank you for your rapid reply. The version we use is

 make --version
GNU Make version 3.75, by Richard Stallman and Roland McGrath.

We ran again make and make install and things went smoothly. We do have
another problem at the final stage. When typing "lyx" we get

LyXTextClassList::Read: no textclasses found!

and on the opened screen

LyX wasn't able to fins any layout description
Check the contents of the file "textclass.lst"

The file textclass.lst exists in directory

/usr/local/lyx-1.1.4/lib

but it contains only commented statements:

## This file declares layouts and their associated definition files.
## It has been automatically generated by configure
## Use "Options/Reconfigure" if you need to update it after a
## configuration change. Run ./configure manually to update the
## system wide version of this file.

What shall we do? Thank you for your help.
