What I asked is if you have a postscript file how do you send this by hand?
Can you do "fax send myfile.ps". So I would have to know the exact command
you give when sending it from a shell (not from within LyX!).

This seems to be the default HylaFax command so this cannot work for efax!
Try to read the documentation and fix this \fax_command option so that it
is the same which you would type in from a shell to send a postscript file!
