Hello-
I'm writing my first article in LyX, and despite extensively RTFM, I have a few
questions:
When text is formatted as title, the date is printed underneath. Is there any
way of getting rid of this?
I hate having text jumping all over the place when I type into the middle of a
block-aligned paragraph. I know there is no easy way of changing this, but does
anyone know of a way of permanently making left-aligned paragraphs the default,
by modifying source code if necessary?
Left aligned paragraphs can't be indented, even when the document style is set
to indent. Is this correct?
One last remark about something I find highly unpleasant- when I delete a word
and am left with the cursor between two spaces, LyX removes the preceding space.
Which means that when I start typing the new word in, I have to start with a new
space. Again, the cursor is between two spaces, and now the following space is
removed, meaning I also have to remember to retype a space at the end of the
word. This means that I have two extra keystrokes for every word I replace, a
waste of energy if I ever saw one :-). On the other hand, the behavior of
carriage returns is correct. While the cursor remains between two <cr>s, they
aren't removed. One of the <cr> is removed after you move the cursor, which is
the correct behavior. I don't know how easy or difficult it is to program, but
I would be grateful if this little quirk could be corrected.
Thanks for the help.
