Why exactly is LyX using xforms?
It is the very only X-windows program I have that uses it! And I don't
find it particularly neat or easy to use. It is fast however but I do
not know whether that is much of a factor these days, given the rise of
QT and Tcl/Tk etc/

My guess is that gtk+ does all the things xforms does while at the same
time enabling the use of a wider range of programming languages. And it
looks more.. sleak, if that's the word.

I do not want to offend anyone, however; if all of you developers love
xforms for its <fill in here> than keep xforms!
