No need to do that - the opensuse people provide qt4 rpms for 9.3, but they are well hidden. You can find them e.g. here: ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/KDE:/KDE4/SUSE_Linux_9.3/ Georg
