Scrolling on Windows using qt/win is a real pain. I just discovered
that if instant preview for math is turned on, then the scrolling
speed is about the same as with qt/x11.

No matter how fast I am able to roll the mouse wheel, LyX always
catches up, which is not the case when instant preview is turned off.
Indeed, in this case, when there are many displayed equations the
scrolling may stop even if I am still rolling the wheel.

Scrolling speed also increases with qt/x11 when instant preview is
turned on, even if the improvement is not as dramatic as with qt/win.

Note that I am sure that the culprit are the equations, as without
them the scrolling speed is acceptable.

So, what is doing LyX with equations to justify such a slow down?
