Do you have any solid reason to believe that compilation with windows will be improve with latest version? I think we have some local modifications to gettext that have to be merged back. After looking at the NEWS file, all I see of interest to us is a possible rewrite of the m4 code (which you do not care about) and improved support for OSX (which is welcome also). Did you take into account the remote possibility that scons is a work in progress, before trying to update gettext just because it is old? JMarc
