Yes.
At least I do not see them in ./configure --help. I am really wondering how many people in this list know the difference between CCFLAGS and CPPFLAGS. Anyway, if scons provides CCFLAGS and CPPFLAGS, maybe scons already knows how to handle them. I will check the manual.
You certainly shouldn't be scrapping things that, as I said, took several years to arrive at, just because you can't be bothered to implement them.
They are *not* difficult to implement. I am worried more about unnecessary complications on the user side. Bo
