The advantage is that no UI is needed and the possibilities are very large. For tables, the situation is a bit more complicated, since there are variable sizes. However, the corner cells of the template tabular could be taken as model for the corners, the first side cells ((2,1), (1,2), (m,2), (2,m)) as model for sides and some middle cell as model for the center cells.
