No still Mingw. LyX/MSVC still have no gettext support and there is a windows resize bug.

Why not give Joost's installer a run out; if I read it correctly, all the
changes you'll need to make (to locations of dlls, etc) are localized to just
the top of one file.

Well I was hoping that Joost will be interested in doing that. If not, I'll give a try when I find some time.

Given that Kayvan has said that he's putting the finishing touches on a
scons-based rpm package, it looks like the scons project is reaching maturity.
Well done to you all. Perhaps the time is coming to perform an audit of what the
scons system is still missing? The biggie would appear to be "make distcheck".

A fun project for you scons-afficionados would be to automate package generation
on windows. As I see it, the only thing blocking the process to fully-automate
the build of the windows installer is the step to install icons in the lyx.exe.
There's lots of info out there on how to go about doing that...

Agreed. But I don't have the time right now... Any volunteer?
