Maybe you have a very fast machine ;-) > >I would like to have back the 1.3.x promptness ;-) > > What time do you time for the PageDown scrolling test? I have a big .lyx file full of figures and equations which I use for testing. This is what I obtain (after all images were loaded, using same fonts and window size): LyX-1.5.0/Qt4 native: 1m23s scrolls jerkily LyX-1.5.0/Qt3 cygwin: 35s scrolls jerkily LyX-1.4.2/Qt3 native/cygwin: 35s scrolls jerkily LyX-1.4.2/Qt3 X11: 13s scrolls like a train till the end LyX-1.3.7/Qt3 native: 9s scrolls like a rocket till the end Take into account that the X11 version performs font antialiasing, so I would say that comparatively it is the fastest version of LyX on Windows. Moreover, using the mouse wheel, scrolling is quite smooth in LyX/Qt3 X11 (even if the 1.3.x pleasantness remains unmatched), whereas it is annoying in all native versions where sometimes it stops even if I am rolling the wheel. -- Enrico
