It is slow, more than 1.4 ever was for me. I can notice it scrolling the User Guide. First the good news, I like it, it is slick. I noticed that since I use small fonts, size 9, there are lots of empty space, like an empty apartment. Jean-Marc has been doing an excellent job as the maintainer of stable series and since he does not mind to continue doing it I think that the job could not be in better hands. (Friday's lingo) Now regarding OS X, the only thing I can say is that only Mac computer at home is running the same OS as my laptop, Fedora Linux.
