You know what? when I first think of getting away from m4, I am looking for something based on python. Python is way easier to work with.
And then, from this freshmeat article, http://freshmeat.net/articles/view/889/ , I find http://freshmeat.net/projects/scons/ . I have not looked at it but if it is based on python, I think I can learn it quickly.... It is just that I like python so much. :-) Bo
