I think I am the last one who has a say on this. However, there is something that could help. If possible, it would be nice to have added to CXXFLAGS the define "-DQ_CYGWIN_WIN" *when* the option --without-x is passed to configure *and* platform is cygwin. I am no m4 expert, but could see what I can do. Anyway, this is not strictly necessary as that define can be set through CPPFLAGS. I don't think that it is wise to fiddle with the -mno-cygwin option, though, as it requires that you really know what you are doing, and I think you know what I mean. -- Enrico
