I would recommend against remembering window position. Good window
managers make an effort to place a new window such that it occupies any
blank space available.

Window size, however, should be remembered, as it's a rather
user-preference thing - some people like to fill their screens, some
people like to make it narrow but tall, etc.

Dialog positions could potentially be remembered, relative to the main
window. Of course, when restoring this status it would have to be
checked that nothing was getting put off-screen.

Dialog visibility should certainly be remembered - people who like to
leave the math panel open should see it again when they start up. This
issue will be more apparent if/when some frontends implement certain
parts as 'panels' instead of separate windows.

Repeating what I said in another message, I'm not sure what makes the
window size a 'session' parameter, rather than a preference.
