The patches people talk about might be available through bugzilla - or at
least the should [1]. When someone refers to e.g. bug 2212 you can the bug
in bugzilla here:

If you look for patches with target 1.4.0, you will find only 4 bugs.
One of them requires gcc 4.1, another one is trivial (restore banner),
and a third one lacks a patch. So there is one (1) bug left for Daniel
to test. I guess it won't keep him busy for hours.
Lars, Jean-Marc, maybe you should list a few additional patches that you
are willing to accept for 1.4.0 if Daniel and me do some stress-testing
(we will work silently in the background and won't disturb the regular
1.4.0 work).
