Testing this would probably be very helpful. > I've read that patches need testing but I don't know which patches these > are, and where I could find a list of them. Ok, I'm assuming you've been able to compile LyX already, otherwise you need to start in that end. The patches people talk about might be available through bugzilla - or at least the should [1]. When someone refers to e.g. bug 2212 you can the bug in bugzilla here: http://bugzilla.lyx.org/ where you just enter 2212 in the search field. This actually points you to this page http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2212 so you could probably just have guessed the URI directly :-) Anyway, on this page you can find the link to any submitted pathes. For instance, the link text "Fix for all three front-ends" points to a patch with this URI: http://bugzilla.lyx.org/attachment.cgi?id=949&action=view I'm pretty sure I got this right, but to be honest I've never used a patch from bugzilla. Anyway, have a look on the bug pages and see if you find the patches. As for finding the bugs, I hope someone gives you a list of bugs with patches that need to be tested. If they don't very soon, ask explicitly for them! Then just ask questions as you encounter problems. cheers Christian [1] Sometimes the patch was just sent as an attachment to the development list, but not being a coder for LyX I'm unsure. I'm also guessing it's better adding patches to the corresponding bugzilla entry. -- Christian Ridderström, +46-8-768 39 44 http://www.md.kth.se/~chr
