LyX 1.4.0 & Patches

Hello,

I know that Lars will kill me for raising this discussion but shouldn't 
we apply at least a few of the uncommitted patches?

I checked bugzilla today. Meanwhile there are 28 (!) open bugs for which 
patches are available. Not to mention all the great work done by Martin!

Given the fact that LyX 1.4.0 is not released yet, why don't we apply 
those patches and provide another LyX 1.4.0 pre-release? If we published 
it on Tuesday, there would be another week for rigor testing - enough 
time to find & fix real showstoppers. And Martin is in such a good mood 
that he will certainly be able to fix the remaining bugs :-)
