LyX 1.4.X, bug reports, and xforms frontend

Hi,

I was curious to see how many bugs there are in our bugzilla data base. 
It turned that there are 65 bugs with keyword "fixedintrunk". I think 
they should be closed as soon as 1.4.0 is out.

If we ignore these bugs, there are another 315 open bugs (enhancements 
excluded).

Some of them are related to xforms which makes me wonder whether anybody 
is actually maintaining and/or using this frontend. I think I haven't 
seen any cvs commit to the frontend within the past 12 months. If we do 
not want to support xforms in the future, we should inform 1.4.0 users 
about it so that they do not add new bug reports.

I think it would also make sense to go through the whole list of open 
bugs and check whether they are still valid. There are some very old 
entries. I probably cannot check all 315 entries by myself but if others 
volunteer as well it should be doable within a few days. Each of us 
could check a specific portion of the whole list.
