Hi, when I came across your website I thought WOW, this is what I have been looking for for ages! LyX seemed to be perfect!
However there is one area I would love if more work was put into ironing out bugs. That is exporting and importing latex code. Well I have had no problems with exporting to latex, but importing back again with no changes made frequently produces errors if any complicated tables etc are used. My dream: To have a program such as yours with three tabs. 1. Your WYSIWYM editor! 2. A txt editor for the latex code for fine tweaking or repetitive macro jobs 3. The dvi viewer to see the final product. (Rather like the Netscape html editor.) Each tab would be updated when clicked on so that the most recent code / txt can be seen/edited. In addition the cursor would automatically jump to the same position that it was on in the other tab. Wouldnt this be great?! Suggestion: Any information that is lost when saving to latex could be saved in the latex file as comments. % Fingers crossed and LyX will soon be my dream editor. :-) Chris. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Christopher Reeve work: home: P/G Pigeonholes, Room with a View, Dept. of Physics and Astronomy, Flat 14, University of Sussex, 51-53 Kings Road, Brighton.
