You mean sendmail does not add a dot to your first single dot, rather delete one from the line with double dots? This is different from what I observed. Anyway, I guess our sysadmins use different configurations for sendmail. I have got tired of trying all kinds of mail clients/servers --- it is a total mess and I have no reason to believe that the situation will be improved in the near future. I just hope that with the release of 1.4.0, I will be able to read/write compressed lyx files easily and get around of this problem. BTW, will the GUI improvements on compressed file handling (http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2145) be done before 1.4.0? Cheers, Bo
