Several developers have told you that this isn't going to get fixed before LyX 1.4 is released. They've explained why they think that a file format change would be a bad idea at this stage. Given that LyX has existed now for ten years and nobody has ever reported this problem before, I think it's perfectly reasonable to say, "later". -- Angus
