Yes -- I must have confused CFBundleTypeName with UTType (as needed for Spotlight). I've changed it; patch attached.
I've also revised the README.MacOSX file accordingly; again, that's included in the attached patch. However, this file should be renamed INSTALL.MacOSX.
One further note: development/MacOSX/qt.patch is no longer needed. (It was needed for what is now a 2-year-old version of Qt.)
