I'm not the only one having problems with the installation of
LyXWin136pre, see below. Unfortunately I'm a bit under stress this week
and wont have time to check what the problem is. My installer version
deletes the folder application data/lyx while uninstalling. But that
doesn't help - I'm still not able to install version 21.

Recently I tried to upgrade from 1.3.6pre_18 to
1.3.6pre version 21. I always install using add
and remove programs found in control panel.
Twice the install failed; it said missing textclass.lst
Finally I drug /lyx located under /documents and settings/
username/application data/lyx, to the recycle bin.
A new lyx directory is created during the new install.
Then the install succeeded, so I had to remove that folder.
And I don't think there is a textclass.lst in version 21 so
that was the reason the install was failing.
