Nope. UNIX LyX has two ways to spellcheck: either by making calls to libaspell or by communicating with an external child proccess, the name of which is set by the \spell_command. Windows LyX can make calls to libaspell. It cannot communicate with an external child process. That's why the combobox is disabled in the Edit->Preferences dialog. -- Angus
