In version 1.3.6, with the same equation, the only file that appears is

side, also with the temp directory, so you can see the files generated.
I guess this is a problem of finding a script. The older version had a
lot of problems with spaces inside paths. I don't know about the new one.
It appears that you have, indeed, discovered a bug. See
