No it isn't, I want to find out what characters are allowed in LaTeX. Because if the user inserts an image with e.g. a "%" in its name, LaTeX will produce errors. LyX should avoid this by checking the filename, as it does in LyX 1.3.x.
I thaught that Angus wants to get rid of this checking completely. Seems that I misunderstood this.
