Uwe, this could be one of those LaTeX-isms that's been lingering in LyX for a while. If you could be more specific vis-a-vis what you mean by "justified paragraph", I might be able to explain what's going on. (Maybe not, though, as I'm doing this from a laptop on a train.) -- John Weiss
