Noteworthy is that - my LyX thinks that I pressed the key combination [S-^], which it does not recognise as anything that should trigger math-superscript, or anything else for that matter; whereas - your LyX thinks you pressed [S-asciicircum], which it correctly does so recognise. This is clearly a bug in the (my) lyx-qt keystroke recognition mechanism (and you may all fight amongst yourselves on which package to blame :) From my POV the important thing is that this evening I am going to put an ~S-^ entry into my bind file, and see what happens. If it helps, this might be a good prophylactic workaround (I already tested here at work that adding the entry has zero effect on a non-buggy LyX). - Martin
