Do you really need an installer for the LyX part? What useful work
does it do versus just moving the app to /Applications?

It cleans some things up: removes the old Start-Lyx application, removes old fonts from ~/Library/Fonts, and cleans up preference files. (These are things that should be done even if users don't want to install the TeX related stuff for preview and reverse dvi; all of that is relegated to the TeX Resources package.)


I put it on ftp.lyx.org.

I've updated the wiki page....
