I'm really surprised about what I have started. For several years nobody cared about anything different from the standard makeindex call, and now after I made a proposal to include parameter settings into the preferences menu we have endless discussions. Why can't we just carry on with my proposal and see if it is sufficient for the users? -- Hartmut
