Apparently you're not supposed to change your mind :-) and do consecutively ./configure -with-frontend=qt; ... ./configure -with-frontend=xforms; ... it doesn't actually get the xforms and several other graphics libs linked in. Anyway I got it fixed with duct tape and can confirm that also the xforms version of the makeindex patch works beautifully. If you ask me it can be committed. - Martin
