The choice is: either force the user to upgrade his setup (which is not always easy if you have to hassle a sysadmin) or silently chose the best available package. I'm not sure what's better, but I tend to the latter solution. OTOH it would be good if the user knew his setup to be outdated. Could we just output a console message in this case? Jürgen.
