Yes. Certainly it is too much to ask for 1.3.x. For 1.4.x? Things are a lot more robust and straightforward than they were so I would say that such a change _could_ be made to work wothout totally foo-barring things. However, at the moment we compare the time stamps (and check sums) of the original and copied files to decide whether the generated file needs to be updated. This data could be stored of course, but you can see that the whole thing is non-trivial. Feel free to have a go ;-) -- Angus
