  But that is precisely what we are logging. And we offer the possibility of 
redirection from stderr to a file. In this case we are mixing the roles, I 
know.

  So what we are doing is to log error and warnings instead of sending them to 
stderr.

  Do you still propose to change the option letters? Any help is welcome. :-)
