Boys, may I ask you not to introduce new programming tenets to LyX (right now at least)? So far all of this stuff has been merely adding line noise and although it has some theoretical advantage none of the things "fixed" by it has bitten us so far. ("clone"...) So at best I'd call that "premature optimization", if not "complete waste of resources" (yours _and_ people getting conflicts when trying to backport things to 1.3.x) I'd rather have people focussing on real problems like crashes or f***ed up data structures instead of finding Yet Another Pet Project Which Make Me Feel Happy Because I Improved Something Really Important. LyX has much more serious problems than not following the latest ideas of the greatest gurus. Andre'
