Reduce the height of one of your input boxes, until you see the input
text disappear.

It means the dialog as it is in CVS (without the patch I am working
on -- forget I said that)

No, we don't, just one version. The problem appears to be that the
input widgets ere scaled in the vertical direction, sometimes making
them too small -- and then the input text disappears, in only some of
several input boxes below each other. Really weird.

I don't know what a proper solution would be (patch to xforms. :-)
Making the boxes *generously* high enough (now 25 points) or choose a
smaller font size. And don't allow them to scale vertically!
