That's what puzzled me from the beginning. When I first saw the LyX code I was about to vomit... What surprised me even more was the reaction on lyx-devel when I hinted that in my usual polite and considerate manner: They wholeheartedly defended that pile of shit. Now that I start defending in from time to time myself I came to the conclusion is that you grow a robust stomach after a while...
