Nicely done. I tried it on fr.po and indeed it uncovers a few things. 

What would be nice (but probably difficult) is to handle the case
where there are more than two translations for the same word, like in

  Different translations for 'above':
    'A&bove' => 'A&vant'
    'Above' => 'Au dessus'
  Different translations for 'below':
    'B&elow' => 'A&près'
    'Below' => 'En dessous'
  Different translations for 'above':
    'Abo&ve' => 'Ava&nt'
    'Above' => 'Au dessus'
  Different translations for 'below':
    'Belo&w' => 'Aprè&s'
    'Below' => 'En dessous'

Here there should be two entries, each with 3 lines.

Also here
  Missing or redundant QT shortcut:
QT should be Qt, since this is after all a script for the pedantics
among us.

I added it to the tree, but I do not think it will go in the
distribution. Feel free to propose a patch for that.
